It's Beginning To Sound A Lot Like Christmas In Baltimore As Harborplace & The Gallery Hosts Merry Tuba Christmas! [October 2009]
Celebrate the holiday season at Harborplace & The Gallery with one of Baltimore's most highly anticipated annual events - Merry Tuba Christmas! Hundreds of festively dressed tuba and euphonium players will assemble at the Harborplace Amphitheater for a special holiday concert.
The renowned harmonies of the Heart of Maryland Chorus will perform classic holiday carols prior to the tuba concert at 3:00pm. Following their performance, the inspiring sounds of an impressive assembly of brass will begin at 3:30pm. The musicians, who ages can range from 7 to 67, originate from the Baltimore metropolitan area as well as surrounding states including Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. Among the players will be members of the Baltimore Marching Ravens and the Capital Tuba Euphonium Quartet from the 257th Army Band dressed in full uniform!
